Viognier

$22 bottle

Review of our 2016 release:  Viognier is one of the most difficult wine to craft in Washington, thanks in no small part to the variety's difficulty to grow and timing of harvest.  When well done, like this example, it can be glorious, with aromas of orange blossoms, vanilla cream and hints of Mandarin orange zest.  This has zippy acidity in the finish.

Chardonnay

$22 bottle

Review of our 2016 release:  If you try to classify this Chardonnay, it's probably more Sonoma County style than Chablis, thanks to a rich mouth feel loaded with pretty tropical fruit, including starfruit, Asian pear, juicy ripe pear on the finish, backed by steely acidity through the impressive finish.

Rose'

$22 bottle

Tasting notes from our 2015 release: Saingnee style Rose of Cabernet Sauvignon has fresh acidity that livens the mouth followed by a soft, rich creamy texture. Crisp, clean, fruit forward with Guava, cherry, and candied strawberry with a hint of vanilla and cream.

Syrah

$32 bottle

Combining Chris' experience with warmer climate California Syrahs and out love of Rhone's expression of the varietal, we find that Washington State is perfectly suited to hit the sweet spot between the two.  Our Syrah is co-fermented in barrels with whole cluster viognier and aged in a mixture of French and America oak.  We strive to achieve something unique and which showcases everything we enjoy about the varietal.

Awards Received

-Silver- 2014, Wenatchee Wine and Food Festival

-Gold- 2017, Seattle Wine Awards

-Double Platinum- 2017, Great Northwest Wine Awards- 97 points

Malbec

$40 bottle

Chris was initially drawn to the varietal after working with it in the Colchagua Valley, the prestigious wine growing region of Chile. We love it refined structure, complexity and versatility.  Delicious on its own, and fantastic as one of our blenders.  We've always know the varietal was uniquely suited for Washington State.

Review from the Great Northwest Wine Awards:  One of the goals of the Platinum Awards is to identify trends. Among those in 2021 is that Malbec in the hands of Chris Daniel Stewart is worth seeking out.... His 2017 Malbec not only earned a Double Platinum, but it emerged as the Best of the Best — the top-scoring wine of the judging. It gushes with distinctive tones of dark purple fruit — blackcurrant and blueberry — that are delivered with density and awash in gorgeously integrated tannins. Secondary notes of lavender, white pepper and pencil shavings finish with a savory note of black olive. Its full-bodied structure brings a long and supple finish. The lone judge who didn’t vote to award this wine 100 points still gave it 99, adding, “No wine is perfect, but this is close.”

Petite Sirah

$32 bottle

We make Petite Sirah because Mike wanted to, that's why. Plus it's good.  All joking aside, this paradoxically named varietal is such a joy to put into a bottle.  Traditionally known for being big, bold and showy, we enjoy the process of harnessing its power and creating a robust version that leaves your teeth beautifully stained after each sip.

Awards Received

-Gold- 2014, Wenachtee Wine and Food Festival (Petite Sirah/Syrah)

-Double Gold- 2017, Seattle Wine Awards

-Platinum- 2017, Great Northwest Wine Awards

Cabernet Sauvignon

$37 bottle

It is such a delight to contrast the wine making process of Napa Valley Cabernet with Washington State Cabernet. Washington’s arid climate, dessert terroir, warm summers combined with its protracted and less tempestuous autumn weather allows for us slow down the end of the ripening process to pick with precision. By doing this, we achieve the impressive complexity and secondary varietal characteristics that are otherwise hard to find elsewhere. One of the best examples to express the impressiveness of Washington State wine.

Petit Verdot

$32 bottle

We enjoy both big, bold reds and the delicious subtle nuances that well crafted wines tease. Petit Verdot does both. This traditional Bordeaux varietal does not hold back in the Columbia Valley. Our winemaking carefully guides our Petit Verdot to showcase all what this often hard to find single varietal has to offer.
